How to disable autotuning in Windows

Post written by
Hey friends there are lot of articles available on the internet for speed up internet but today i am going to write a less popular article on my blog. This method works perfectly on the windows 7  and windows vista may work with windows 8 but not tested. Here is the way for disable autotuning in the Windows 7.

 Disable Autotuning in Windows 7

Open command prompt as Administrator ( Right Click and select Run as Administrator),

run-as-admin

 Now Type,

Netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled

This will disable the autotuning function in vista TCP/IP networking, which will solve the main network slowness issue in Windows 7.

To see the result of the command, you can type,

Netsh interface tcp show global

Disable autotuning

As shown above, Auto-Tuning Level should be ‘disabled’.

Now,

Use one more command as administrator, Type,

Netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled

By using above two commands ( autotuning and rss), you can solve some of the network issues in Vista. To bring back these two network settings to default, type following commands,

Netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled

Netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=normal

The above is the method to speed up internet connection in windows 7. If have any problem in doing this please comment below.
